It is important that whomever you hire to assist you in your project, be licensed and insured. Be able to provide references, show completed project albums, this list could go on and on. To us the most important attribute beyond that, is to have incredible communication skills. Before, during, and after, consistent open line of communication can make the most efficient use of your budget and save valuable time.  

It is also important in the midst of planning your projects with a GC, and it is determined that different trades are going to be needed and brought in; ask them whom they will be and do your research. Typically, just the people they do business with, is a direct reflection of who the are.
